New Business: Provincial Nominee Program
Program Overview
Key Benefits
For entrepreneurs interested in acquiring a successful business or starting a new venture in Canada’s provinces, the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) provides an excellent pathway to immigration. CBGA offers comprehensive assistance throughout the entire process, from evaluating business opportunities to navigating immigration requirements for you and your family.
This program is ideal for those willing to contribute to the local economy by relocating to a province outside major metropolitan hubs. We help you identify potential businesses or guide you in launching your own. Additionally, we support you in obtaining a Work Permit and transitioning to Permanent Residency after successfully running the business for a 2 year of time.
- Begin operations within 4-6 months on a Work Permit, with the ability to apply for Permanent Residency after a year.
- You and your family will be eligible for Canada’s public healthcare system and your children will receive access to public education.
- Your spouse can apply for an Open Work Permit and work for any Canadian employer.
Eligibility Criteria
- The business must be operational for at least two years and profitable.
- A minimum investment of $200K is required for business acquisition or startup.
- You should have additional operational funds, at least $100K, for the first six months.
- Demonstrating English proficiency at the C1 level or higher is important for applying for Permanent Residency.
- A higher level of education for you or your spouse, as well as being under 55 years of age, will be advantageous.
Key Services
CBGA provides support from the initial stages of finding or starting a business to securing your immigration status. We conduct comprehensive due diligence on businesses before acquisition, handle tax optimization strategies, and ensure full compliance with provincial regulations. We also provide insights on market potential, help establish your presence in the province, and develop business strategies tailored to the Canadian market.
Key Points on Provincial Requirements
It’s important to highlight that PNP requirements are generally less stringent than other immigration programs, making them more accessible to a broad range of applicants. However, one of the key conditions is that you must reside and operate your business in the chosen province until you receive Permanent Residency.
During this period, you may need to provide proof of your business activity and residency. Acceptable evidence can include: bank statements, rent payments, utility bills and other regular payments linked to the business or personal living expenses within the province.
